シンガーのモナミシリーズSC217、SC317の自動糸調子は、コンピューター制御ということですが、SC117の機械式とはどのように違うのですか？

自動糸調子には機械式、コンピューター制御式の2種類あります。
機械式とは、上糸の糸調子部分の手前に糸の撚り防止機構が付いており、どの模様、スピードに対しても一定の糸調子で進んでいきます。

（例）直線縫いの糸調子が「10」であれば、ボタンホール、ジグザグ縫いも「10」の糸調子になり、模様や布によってはご自身で調整が必要になります。

対してコンピューター制御の自動糸調子は、縫い模様ごとにプログラムされた糸の強さに自動で切り替わり、縫い模様に適した調整するタイプです。

（例）直線縫いの糸調子が「10」であれば、ボタンホールのときは「9」、ジグザグ縫いは「8」といった容で模様により糸調子が代わります。

コンピューター制御の自動糸調子は調整が必用無いということはありませんが、比較的調整の頻度は少なく、初心者の方には大変嬉しい機能です。
