シャーリングとギャザーは同しで、布が不規則に山、谷状に縮んでいる状態のことです。

メーカーにより、シャーリング押さえ、ギャザー押さえなど名称は異なりますが、同じ状態の生地を縫うための押さえ・アタッチメントです。

シャーリング、ギャザーの縫う場合には、ギャザー押さえが便利です。
